WHAT IS A SOLICITOR-GENERAL?
Solicitors-General are the prosecuting attorneys assigned to prosecute crimes in State Court that can be punished by less than ayear in jail. Examples of these crimes (known as misdemeanors) include DUIs, Domestic Violence, Battery, Stalking and Shoplifting. Effective misdemeanor prosecution dramatically improves the quality of life in Cherokee County because it helps the County keep its promise to be “A Great Place to Live, Work, and Play.” As a career prosecutor and a Cherokee resident for more than a decade, I understand the importance of safeguarding our homes, businesses, and roadways in order to preserve the unique character of this place we call “home.” As your next Solicitor-General, I am both committed to the fair and effective prosecution of criminal and traffic offenses, and the defense of your constitutional rights.
This website is intended to make it easy for every Cherokee County resident to learn more about me—both as a person and as a prosecutor. In these pages, you can explore my passion for misdemeanor prosecution, my background and experience, my family, and my vision for the future of our Solicitor-General’s Office. You can also find information about campaign events, fundraisers, and other ways to support and become involved in my campaign. Also, feel free to use the site to get in touch with me. I will be more than happy to address any concerns or questions you might have. I look forward to hearing from you, and to serving you as your next Solicitor-General!
